The Home and Community Support Innovation Centre (HCSIC) is seeking a Manager to lead regional initiatives that
strengthen and transform home and community support services across Northern Ontario.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside community support service organizations, healthcare providers,
Indigenous partners, and government stakeholders to improve service delivery, foster collaboration, and advance
innovative solutions that help people live independently in their communities, improve quality of life, and support healthier
aging across the region.
About The Role
Reporting to the NE CSS Advisory Table, the Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the Home and
Community Support Innovation Centre (HCSIC). The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, lead regional
projects and innovation initiatives, support sector-wide improvement, and build strong partnerships that enhance the
delivery, integration, and sustainability of community support services throughout Northern Ontario.
The Manager will play a key role in connecting organizations, supporting innovation, identifying opportunities for
improvement, and advancing collaborative solutions that respond to the evolving needs of communities across the region.
What You'll Do
As the Manager, you will:
• Lead the strategic direction and daily operations of the Home and Community Support Innovation Centre.
• Develop, implement, and monitor annual work plans, priorities, and organizational objectives.
• Lead regional projects and innovation initiatives from planning through evaluation.
• Assist community support service (CSS) providers with project development, implementation, evaluation, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Foster collaboration by organizing regional meetings, working groups, and knowledge-sharing opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, Indigenous communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Identify funding opportunities and provide guidance on proposals, reporting, and project management.
• Promote the adoption of innovative technologies, service models, and best practices across the region.
• Coordinate regional initiatives that improve consistency, integration, and quality among service providers.
• Develop performance indicators, monitor outcomes, and use qualitative and quantitative data to support continuous improvement, system planning, and evidence-informed decision-making.
• Champion equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural safety throughout all initiatives.
• Represent the NE CSS Regional Advisory Table and HCSIC at meetings, forums, and regional and provincial
committees.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for the NE CSS Advisory Table and Regional Fund Coordinator.
• Support the ongoing professional development of HCSIC staff.
What We're Looking For
The Ideal Candidate Will Bring:
• A university degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or a
related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Demonstrated leadership experience within healthcare, community support services, or the non-profit sector.
• Strong project management skills with experience leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Exceptional relationship-building, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Experience developing partnerships across multiple organizations and sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and accountability processes.
• Knowledge of Ontario's health system and home and community support services is considered a strong asset.
• Understanding of rural, northern, and Indigenous communities and the unique challenges they face.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration platforms.
