The Innovation Centre is Hiring a Project Lead!

About HCSIC

The Home & Community Support Innovation Centre (HCSIC) supports Health Service Providers (HSPs) across Northeastern Ontario through sector leadership, coordination, and innovation. HCSIC works collaboratively with partners to strengthen Home and Community Support Services (CSS), promote equitable access to care, and drive system improvements that benefit clients and communities. HCSIC initiatives are guided by the priorities and direction of the Regional CSS Advisory Council.


Job Summary

We are seeking a Project Lead to join our team and play a key role in advancing the quality, coordination, and sustainability of Home and Community Support Services in Northeastern Ontario. This position leads and supports regional initiatives, facilitates collaboration among service providers, and delivers project management, data analysis, and strategic coordination to drive sector improvement. The Project Lead will build a direct report with the HSPs and play a key role in large-scale operational improvement.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic and Sector Support

  • Provide support to various Regional Working Groups and align initiatives with their strategic priorities.
  • Advise on emerging sector trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Advocate on behalf of Community Support Service HSPs to strengthen policy and resource development.


Operations and Project Management

  • Lead and support implementation of regional initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  • Conduct environmental scans, data analysis, and capacity planning to inform decision-making.
  • Oversee the North East CSS Network on Caredove, including user onboarding, quality monitoring, and outreach education.
  • Track project progress and ensure timely reporting of deliverables and outcomes.


Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing

  • Facilitate sector meetings, learning sessions, and communities of practice to promote knowledge exchange.
  • Disseminate research, policy updates, and innovative practices through newsletters and online platforms.
  • Coordinate regional InterRAI education and support competency evaluations for CSS assessors.


Stakeholder Engagement and Advocacy

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with HSPs, Indigenous and First Nations communities, government partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Organize consultations, workshops, and collaborative planning sessions.
  • Represent HCSIC and the CSS sector in regional and provincial discussions.


Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

  • Ensure all initiatives reflect the diverse needs of Northeastern Ontario communities.
  • Champion cultural safety, anti-oppressive practice, and inclusive approaches across all projects.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • College diploma or bachelor’s degree in health administration, public policy, geriatric care, or equivalent experience.
  • 2–5 years of experience in community support, healthcare coordination, or project management.
  • Experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment, preferably within the nonprofit or public sector.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, planning, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Electronic Medical Records).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Ontario’s Home and Community Care and CSS systems.
  • Knowledge of relevant provincial legislations, policies, and regulations.
  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.


Working Conditions

  • Full-time, permanent position based in Sudbury, ON.
  • Standard office environment with frequent use of computers, with a strong emphasis on virtual meetings and collaboration.
  • Travel within Northeastern Ontario is occasionally required for regional engagement and projects.
